Frugal Savvy; Some of Us Are Born with It - Others Have to Learn it

We all think of something else when we hear the word frugal. One of the first things I usually hear is: ‘I don’t want to be cheap’ or, I don’t know where to save more than I am already’.

But, one thing is for sure, most of us need to learn to be more Frugal Savvy in this economy. We can kick, scream, and pout about it, or we can learn more and somehow make it fun.

Over the last 20 years, our family has certainly learned. Sometimes the hard way –yes, we did go through a bankruptcy once, years ago, and yes my husband has not had a ‘job’ for 18 months now - and sometimes we decided to make it a hobby.

Through it all, we learned to be frugal, we learned what works and what doesn’t, we learned how to be broke but never poor, and we learned to have faith that one day, things will look better.

What is important is that we keep learning. That we learn how to make a budget, that we learn to save, no matter how little, we need to learn to tithe – even if it is just a few dollars and we need to keep learning about money.

This site will help you do just that and more.

• Here you will find support of others who are experiencing the same thing.
